A refreshed framework for the Cardano 2026 budget cycle has been submitted! Cardano's Treasury is one of the ecosystem's greatest strategic resources. Based on lessons from 2025 and progress made on ecosystem strategy, a revamped 2026 budgeting framework has been proposed to better align funding with Vision 2030 priorities, measurable outcomes, and ecosystem growth. Providing some additional clarity on Intersect's role with the transition of Catalyst from @IOGroup to @Cardano_CF - As with all vendors who were approved funding last year, all ada associated to Catalyst was held in our smart contracts. Catalyst milestones in the smart contract closely mirrored the contractual agreement we had with IOG. These milestones, wherever practically possible/feasible, mirrored what DReps and the community approved on-chain. - There are 4 milestones connected to the funding and running costs of F14, F15, and F16. As you can see in the dashboard, three of these milestones have been withdrawn which included the operating and funds associated to F14,F15, and F16. The remaining milestone that we have paused is the F16 grant amount. Smart contract dashboard here: treasury.sundae.fi/instances/9e65… - Intersect now has three jobs to do relating to this transition; a) initiate the return of the paused milestone (F16) back to the Treasury via our smart contract, b) instruct the CF and IOG to return all funding connected to F15 and F16 that has been withdrawn, and c) ensure F14 administers effectively in collaboration with the new steward, the CF. - In total the amount due back to the Treasury is at least 43.2m ada. This represents 21.1m for F15 (20m grant, 1.1m op costs) and 22.1m ada for F16 (21m grant and 1.1m op costs). I will be personally overseeing the return of these funds and Intersect will publicly confirm when completed with transaction hashes. As a side note, Cardano's constitution requires proposals to be denominated in ada. Vendors choose how to manage their funds, based on their milestone drawdown in the smart contract, to be remaining in ada or to lock in stables etc. That remains in the discretion of each Vendor given their business needs. At the moment, the transition and contractual novation work is large. Next week I hope to be in a better position to close this off from an Administrator perspective, and we can turn our attention to the future of ecosystem funding!

Intersect welcomes today's update regarding the future stewardship of Project Catalyst and supports the collaborative transition now underway between @IOGroup and @Cardano_CF. In our role as Treasury Administrator for the Catalyst funds approved by DReps, we will facilitate the orderly return of the Fund15 and Fund16 allocations to the Cardano Treasury in line with our administrative responsibilities. We will also continue working closely with the Cardano Foundation and the Catalyst team to support the successful ongoing administration of Fund14 commitments. At this stage, our immediate involvement is focused on ensuring that treasury processes are handled transparently and in accordance with community-approved governance. As Catalyst and innovation funding mechanisms evolve into their next chapter, Intersect looks forward to collaborating with the Cardano Foundation, through our Product Committee and relevant working groups, to help shape how innovation funding can best support Cardano's long-term vision. Reimagining community funding presents an opportunity to align future programmes more closely with ecosystem priorities while preserving the openness and experimentation that Catalyst has enabled. We thank the Catalyst team for their continued work and look forward to supporting the community as the next model for innovation funding takes shape. Good morning Cardano, I wanted to give you all an update on what the Membership and Community Committee has been working on and how you can get involved. Over the last few months, we’ve been mapping out the challenges facing member participation and engagement across Intersect. We’ve identified issues ranging from unclear onboarding processes to scattered communication across platforms, and we’re actively working on solutions that will make it easier for members to contribute in meaningful ways. Right now, we’re deep in budget planning for 2026, working on frameworks for community hubs, member benefits, and participation pathways that actually work for the diverse global community we serve. We’re focused on building systems that are accessible, transparent, and genuinely useful rather than just bureaucratic structures. But here’s the thing - we need your input. MCC exists to serve Intersect’s members and the broader Cardano community, which means we need to hear from you about what’s working, what’s not, and what you’d like to see from us.
