@McKinnisClayton @deaflibertarian You missed the point. Calling something marked down while being the same price yesterday fools customers into thinking they’re getting a deal. It’s greasy as hell.

@deaflibertarian That’s called “Retail Math”. Item cost + logistics cost (warehousing, shipping and distribution) + overhead (costs of maintaining a storefront) + profit margin + markup = retail cost. That’s why some stores can still make a profit while selling things at 60% off.

@deaflibertarian Absolutely. Most do. I remember working for Walmart and putting up marked down prices that were the same, or more, that what they were the day before.

Bought a pack of Hamburger helper for $4.29 today. Stopped at No Frills and it’s $2.59. Literally everything was $2-$4 cheaper. Cheese on sale? $7.95. No Frills? 4.95 regular price. Same brand.

I’ve flipped tags before you switched to these automatic ones and the yellow tag was more than the original price was. Gonna be documenting this stuff cause I’m pretty sure the food crisis is 100% corrupt greed from grocers and I hope I can bring “breadgate” to you.
