@JeremyFlemingCO @citchmook And extra cap space to acquire Nelson as well. All around was a good move. Glad the front office has the foresight that much of the fansbase lacked at the time.

@Habsmtlhabs @Its_Strez Ahh the OP was about points not goals, but maybe the Habs should try winning more games and then he could earn a few more empty letters 😉. The amount of times Mack has passed up those chances to set up teammates is pretty high too. So maybe don't nitpick.

@KGeordan @Its_Strez No he’s not😂 If u take away his empty net goals he has 45, Caufield has 49.

@Habsmtlhabs @Its_Strez The point of the post though is, take away all the ENGs and Mack is still ahead of Caufield. So its just a dumb complaint to bring up.

@Its_Strez Nobody cares about his even strength points or points at all. The original tweet pointed out the empty netters because he’s in a race with caufield for the rocket richard and has 6 ENGs to Cole’s 0.

Everyone screams ‘tax the rich more’ But the  top 1% pay 28.5% of all income tax And the bottom 50% only pay 9% of all income tax The problem is not the rich The problem is how much tax is wasted

@RageWildcats @RicHuntter @NFL_DovKleiman I mean, LSU was probably the biggest preseason fraud in CFB last year. They are just a bigger name with bigger boosters and a coach who has no loyalty to his players.

@GUnit_81 The Wins Above Bubble metric would disagree where Miami is ranked 31st nationally with roughly an estimated 2.5 over what the last bubble team would have against a similar schedule.

Miami OH is unlikely to be a favorite against any of the other bubble teams in a game, but you don’t award NCAA Tournament bids based on what the point spread would be, you base it on a team winning games and earning a bid. 28 Division I wins while seemingly every other bubble teams couldn’t win…..a game, any game……at all…..down the stretch makes them worthy of getting a chance to be an underdog in the NCAA Tournament.
Brian’s Breaking News and Intel@intelFromBrian

@GUnit_81 Kenpom states that Miami Ohio is 93rd best team T-rank is 87 before today Haslametrics is 98. They are not good enough to get an at large. They would be 5 or 6 point dogs vs every other bubble team.

@OG_Moji69 @EstateWill19959 @coleadamss People forget Eastern Michigan beat a Cinci team who took down both Kansas and ISU... but its easy to just talk down on the MAC instead of care about the facts 🙄

@Petrorock44 @jasonwhitlock Even Eastern Michigan beat a Cinci team that has wins over Kansas and ISU. The conference isn't world beaters but deserves more credit than its given for sure.

This has been the greatest basketball season in Mid-American Conference history, to the point where it should be a two-bid league with 31-0 Miami OH and John Groce’s Akron Zips. I asked Coach Groce to pitch his team and resume to the selection committee for an at-large bid.

@chrisfallica And where does Akron sit on the WAB metric? 61st (-1.06) while Miami sits at 31 (+2.57). Narrow minded approaches to determining a teams quality gets you in trouble real fast. But thats what happens when you selectively choose metrics to make a point.

Akron (61) is 30 spots higher than Miami OH (91) in Ken Pom. Doubt many people realize there's that big of a gap and that its Akron who's considered the best team in the league.

@madnessofmarch @jolberding01 21st Strength of Record 32nd Wins above Bubble 19th team in the country But go on and try to selectively choose what metrics you want to pay attention to to justify bottom quartile majors. Data shows that mid-major bids far outperform subpar major bids in the tournament.

@madnessofmarch @jolberding01 NET rankings are flawed and statistically skewed towards major conferences. Its a well known fact yet people lean on them way too much. WAB is more unbiased. Where Auburn and Cal are clearly bubble teams at +0.11 and -0.11 respectively, Miami scores +2.22 and is ranked 32.

@madnessofmarch @jolberding01 And who you are losing to and how you lose should matter as well. Its the whole picture. Both Cal and Auburn lost this week to teams who are 11-18. Spare me the selective focus on narrow metrics/topics you care to use to try and support whatever thin arguement you are making.

@madnessofmarch They rank 32nd in Wins Above Bubble. They are undefeated. This isn't even a legitimate conversation. Take your teams who have losing conference records and let them enjoy the NIT if they want postseason ball so bad. Its 68 teams, not 12.

@KGeordan SOS: 339 Non-conf SOS: 365 (that's dead last in D-I, folks) 365 schools in D-I 299 schools in D-II 418 schools in D-III Nearly 1100 schools And the RedHawks "settled" for THREE NAIA schools. But, keep telling everyone that they deserve to be in the tournament. 😂

@mallory131313 @GUnit_81 St Johns schedule was actually very similar if I recall correctly. And they got a 1 seed out of it 🤷. Not saying thats where Miami should be, but they beat who they play. Majors refused to schedule them. Thats not their fault.

@kylamb8 They are undefeated. It’s incredibly hard. They’d beat Ohio St. handily so maybe stand down on this one. You look petty.

Back in August 2022, then-FBI Director Christopher Wray cut short a Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing (on Aug 4) after about an hour. He said he had to catch a plane—initially called it "other business," but later admitted it was a family vacation to hike in the Adirondacks (Saranac Lake, NY). If something blew up while Wray was off hiking Saranac Lake (say, a major domestic terror alert or active shooter), the FBI would've been stuck: that Gulfstream 550 was literally parked with him, not at HQ. Same problem as Patel's Olympics trip last year—jet's out of reach, response time tanks, and you're suddenly explaining why the director's personal vacation left a hole in national security.

Breaking MS NOW: Agents with the FBI's elite evidence response team were delayed in reaching the scene of a mass shooting at Brown U. in December because there was no FBI plane available. Kash Patel was in south Florida at the time with one of the FBI's two available jets. ms.now/news/senator-s…

@nicklib11 @AlphaDeity1 @mattstdream To be fair. I didnt think that was PI, but they also called Bosa for roughing the passer that play. And the play before there was legit PI not called. The final PI was 100% PI and you can't not call a full wrap up before the ball gets there. But I agree on wanting consistency.

@AlphaDeity1 @KGeordan @mattstdream All we’re proving is the refs swallowed the whistles until the very last drive of overtime. Missed calls all over the place on both sides. The same penalty that should’ve been called on moss was caked on the bills in overtime. Make it consistent.
