@Karlthethird9 @sheriece @TheModerateCase Do you know why the creeds exist? They are compromises among various interpretations of the Bible. That's why they are so convoluted and contradictory. Yes, I've read the Gospel of John.

I will never attack a Christian on the basis of the theological belief that Jesus Christ is God, the Messiah, that He was crucified, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven. We are united in that, and that is what matters most. However, the discussion of religious authority and what it means for political discourse is separate from that. We are one in Christ, and anyone who tells a Catholic, or any professing Christian for that matter, who believes in the core theological truths of Christianity, that they are not a Christian, is wrong.
