I know - the second was a resolution which for some ridiculous reason was allowed to be killed by one Senator - a Senator that yelled objection and left the room! They couldn’t find him. But the Senate Leader allowed it to stop it. The Res would have passed (he had enough votes) and it wasn’t even BINDING on top of it. I was so ticked off as well as many others.

@KellyJaye Senator Kennedy put up a bill in the last month or two to stop Congress pay during shutdowns. He got voted down.

This is something we should be pushing when they get back. There is already legislation written (and a proposed Amendment that they may not realized Graham wrote last year):
