@JeffDelp @sodowntownatl We ate lunch there today (after riding over on the A line). The food is good, there’s a bar, and the people are quite nice. I definitely recommend TTK!

Finally, I ate lunch in @sodowntownatl at Tyde Tate Kitchen. What I love about this is I can enjoy lunch, a warm/dry place to hang, and then walk to the bus when I want to minimize waiting outside. This will be game changing IMO.

After trying the new Rapid A Line yesterday, I decided to try our more of the @MARTAservice Next Gen bus network on this gorgeous spring day! Here’s how my journey(s) went:

@HowEPhil Not just new developments. Parking minimums hold back rehabs and other in place upgrades.

We absolutely do not need parking with every single new development moving forward. Simply unnecessary costs & land consumption.

I live in the South of the United States, but I’ve never owned a gun. We had them in my house growing up (rifles primarily to handle predators that wanted to kill chickens and such) but I never took an interest. I am not opposed to gun ownership at all, it’s just not been important to me so far.

I agree that the rollout wasn’t well executed. The vision is good, and I’m hopeful that it will be what is possible, but… honestly how did they let this get so far behind schedule? So many “whoops we found shallow cables” and “whoops we need to resurface the road we already resurfaced twice”. It’s a bus line. The whole point was to do this cheaper and faster than rail and I don’t think we really demonstrated that effectively.

Here you go @ajlamesa - my thoughts on @MARTAservice BRT... 1) This line can be the most pedestrian oriented high frequency line in Atlanta (its running more often than the trains tdy). Most stations have easy access to things like shops, food, and work options mere steps away.

Rode the @MARTAservice Rapid A line a couple of times this morning. For the first time in 25 years in Atlanta, I walked out of my house to catch a bus without consulting a schedule! Frequency is Freedom! The line has a ton of potential - but also a lot of kinks to work out.
