This is such a perfect image. All the noise and bluster with massive spending behind it takes most of the attention while the fight for peace gets relegated to the background.

@ATLDOT @cavinessiv @CityofAtlanta 👏 bring on more LPIs across Atlanta!!! And TSP while you’re at it, too!
Please bake in $$$ for TSP signals as part of any future transportation funding project lists moving forward!

Ever wonder why the walk sign turns on before the light changes? 👀
Our Vision Zero Manager, Cole Smith, breaks down Leading Pedestrian Intervals (LPIs) and how that extra few seconds helps keep you seen and safer before cars start moving.

I just tried to fast track a bill to pay TSA workers NOW.
Sadly, Republicans in DC keep blocking it.
We all agree that TSA should be paid so what is the hold up? This is insanity.

Y'all... I've NEVER seen Hartsfield Jackson this bad. This is what security looks like this morning (Friday). We've talked to people that got to the airport at 3am that missed their 6am flight. @ATLNewsFirst @GAFollowers

#Barrierfree design softens the edge between road and #sidewalk.
But softer edges also invite encroachment.
#Bollards are not just safety devices—they are a way cities reintroduce boundaries without rebuilding walls.

@AtlantaBeltline Thank you for the transparency- we know all of the BeltLine employees among others disappointed by the misstep, though also grateful the item was caught and being addressed.
Will be of value to know are costs captured by taxpayers or if the contractor will be absorbing. Thanks!!

@HowEPhil We remain committed to delivering the Northwest Trail safely, efficiently, and transparently, and we appreciate the community’s patience as work continues. (3/3)

Local journalists should dig into what went wrong.
Bridge installed this past year appears to be faulty, must be deconstructed, then rebuilt.
Who is at fault? Who is paying for the duplicate work?
The BeltLine fumbled delivery, again, despite massive & increased budget 👀

@JoshGreen1234 Beltline Peachtree Creek bridge has started to be taken apart with this first middle segment now hanging on wires

@HowEPhil The poured concrete deck has been removed, and the bridge steel is being disassembled. There are no other bridges of this type on the corridor.
Work on other portions of the segment continues, and the southern portion is expected to be open for use in late April. (2/3)

@HowEPhil Hi! The NWT1 suspension bridge crossing Peachtree Creek is currently being deconstructed by Reeves Young, following an issue that arose during a concrete deck pour. An independent engineering review identified matters requiring further evaluation + corrective action by RY. (1/3)

From 2017 to 2023, 116 metro areas saw increases in the number of Black-owned employer businesses, @andreperryedu & Hannah Stephens write. For example, Atlanta gained 6,000 Black-owned employer businesses during this period—more than any other metro area. brookings.edu/articles/black…
