When I retired from the public sector I received a 'letter'. Not thanking me for my 40+ years of service but threatening if I ever disclosed details of the work I undertook, particularly the work of my final 5 years I could be gaoled.
It was not like the standard retirement letter where one was reminded they were still bound by the PS Code of Conduct. It was very specific and personal.
I worked across numerous departments and had access to very sensitive information with a security classification to match.
I post anonymously and very carefully to avoid the threat being carried out.
