When you're told your entire life that the Catholic Church is the One True Church and that its teachings are immutable, how do you expect people to react when every single form of lived Catholicism, from the form of Mass to the unthinkable elimination of Friday abstinence, suddenly changed when the overwhelming majority of the laity never asked for it? These are the people whose grandparents and great grandparents sacrificed money they didn't have to build beautiful churches, altars, statues, etc., only for pastors to throw it all in the trash because "we don't believe in this anymore" and "you're an immature Catholic if you need such superstitious nonsense for your faith." So maybe just stop.

Yes Greg, I’m saying consistent with nearly 2,000 years of Sacred Tradition and Centuries of Sacramental Theology that Valid Baptism remits Original Sin and leaves an indelible mark on the Baptized. Once Validly Baptized one might be a Heretic, Schismatic, Apostate, or Excommunicated but they aren’t a pagan/infidel even if they adopt a paganistic belief system. Cancer royally sucks wife’s in hospital with bad infection and they believe her cancer has now migrated to her bone marrow as her platelet count is super low sad beyond belief Prayers for her healing May God have mercy and Jesus places healing hands upon her amen

Today, words fail us. It’s been a long, hard battle the last few years. In times like this, the sacrifices and the struggles don’t even matter. A few hours ago we received the most earth-shattering news that our 20 year old son, Evan Roberts Locke, could not be revived after his heart stopped due to an overdose. His struggle was very public. It was used as a warning to many, a punchline to the haters but an overall reminder that even in our deepest pain, the grace of Jesus will sustain us. I’ll address the church family with arrangement details this Sunday. Please respect our privacy. He has 5 heartbroken siblings and a world of people that helped him along his journey.

One year ago today, during a routine scan, they found Liv’s cancer had come back for the third time. It wasn’t just one spot — it was in so many places. I remember sitting there as her oncologist told me, feeling the floor drop out from under me. In that moment I knew deep down we weren’t going to beat it. But knowing didn’t mean quitting. Not for one single day. We fought like hell anyway — for every extra sunrise, every laugh, every hug that still somehow held all the love we had left. Liv, my brave girl, you never stopped fighting either. I’m so proud of you. I miss you more than words can say. 💔 We never quit. Not then. Not now. We will make sure your memory lasts forever. ❤️

Late night pastoral duties. Anointing the sick. Pray for me. 20 kilometers one way. Am going fast today; urgency. Music keeps me singing along all the way, keeping me awake.

Five-year-old Anna was the only witness to the domestic violence that had hospitalised her mother. In the large courtroom, her father stared at her from the defendant’s table. She refused to testify. She hid behind the prosecutor, shaking, and cried that she could not do it because he would see her. The prosecutor was about to request a recess when Judge Marcus, known for his stern manner, called for a pause. He stepped down from the bench, walked over to the girl, and knelt. He asked her gently what her name was. She whispered that her name was Anna. He told her that he was Judge Marcus, that it was his courtroom and he was in charge. He explained that his most important rule was that no one was allowed to be scary — not even her father — and that he would not permit it. He pointed to the witness stand and said that the chair looked big and lonely. He suggested that she and he should sit there together and that she could sit on his lap so he could act as her shield. He held out his hand, and Anna took it. The judge then sat in the witness stand with Anna on his lap, his black robe wrapped around her. Shielded by him, she found her voice and told the court what she had seen.
