@bryce_tatroe @briankeepsworth lol you talking to a mirror? The trinity, amorphous blob god you believe in isn’t biblical. For someone who, I assume, believes the bible is the only true word and source of God… that’s weird.

If I can conceive of something greater than your God, then he isn’t God. In the case of Mormonism, I can definitely conceive of something greater than their definition of God. 📽️ Watch Below👇

Remember: the 21st century American Catholic status quo is steep decline, so anyone who defends the status quo in parish and diocesan life basically endorses that decline. Chart: @ryanburge

@greatlakessaint No you can't. It's literally inconceivable and for you to say otherwise is to complete misunderstand the terms you're using.

@briankeepsworth Your premise is flawed. I can conceive of a square circle, but because that’s incoherent it doesn’t matter. Almost like you’re arguing that Captain America could beat up Bruce Lee.

@PaoloGerrini He can't do nonsense, because nonsense is nothing. Just because you string meaningless words together doesn't mean God can do it. If your God can... he's incoherent... and that's the problem. The Bible says God is Logos.

@PaoloGerrini Yes, he has a body, by choice, not necessity. The son became incarnate, because a pure spirit can do that. An embodied being can't do the reverse.

@briankeepsworth I can concieve of a God greater than yours, namely the ability to have offspring in His own image and likeness. And having the power of an actual infinite Atonement that can change us from sinners into Gods.

@Larsen1T If being able to fight was intrinsic to being a dad, then this would be relevant. Perfection IS intrinsic to being God, so if your definition both says he's perfect and lacks perfection, then you have a big problem.

@NathanDallon @briankeepsworth As a strict Trinitarian myself, I'll admit Brian's argument in this tweet is weak. God isn't bound or limited by our ability to conceptualize Him.

@BebopJosh No. I made arguments and you haven't addressed them, but instead resorted to insults which is a very disgraceful mode of conduct.

So what I’m getting is that you’ve projected a philosophical concept, called it greater than God, claim that that is the God of the Bible, and pretend that we, who also worship the God of the Bible, are inferior and follow an inferior God, simple because you believe something different about the nature of God. There is nothing worse than a well educated fool.

@briankeepsworth What makes you think a purely spiritual being can take on corporeality? And what makes you assume Heavenly Father is not also spirit as well as flesh and bone?

@StevenMackey He's not irrational. That isn't a refutation of my arguments or theirs. The Greeks actually knew a thing or two.

@briankeepsworth @NullusTutela Boy, are you close, but … no cigar. Traditions don’t connect to Sola Scriptura. That was a weird thing to say.

The more I read the Bible as a neophyte, the more I realized there can be multiple reasonable interpretations which means that to accurately know what it says and benefit from that revelation, you have to also have a reliable interpreter. That's what the Church is.
