@G17985531 Fr. Berry is not a doctor or a Church Father - many of whom address this question. You haven't provided any examples that meet my challenge.

I guarantee there are huge mistakes from my past as I explored my faith and came out Catholic. My understanding of my faith and where God is calling me today is very different from what it was 20 years ago. What does that prove?

@GunsAndRosariez In some respects, this can be worse for priests who had their formation in 1970's seminaries where they were specifically taught things that were contrary to the faith. In my case, I didn't have to undue bad formation, I just had to learn what was true.

@briankeepsworth This is an entirely different situation. This is a Priest who was formed in the faith through seminary. This isnt a layman who came to the faith late and didnt understand what all the teachings of the church are.

What makes you think that simply having a priesthood means Jesus is displaced as high priest? How can Jesus be a high priest with no other priests under his direction? He would be the lone priest in that case.
