I have an important bit of advice for you if a loved one, especially if they are older, is ever hospitalized. From hospital day 2 or 3 start to look for any signs of hospital-associated DELIRIUM. This means a change in mental status, usually more confusion and agitation. This is very common, and can happen for a number of reasons— including medications and disturbance of the sleep/wake cycle. Ironically, the original illness is actually a less common reason for delirium. The reason why this is so important is that once it sets in— it greatly DELAYS recovery and leads to more complications. My advice to you: if your loved one is suffering from this, raise a red flag with the medical staff immediately. Be courteous but firm, they need to investigate why this is happening. If no other cause is found which is reversible, it is in your loved one’s best interest to get out of the hospital and into a more calm environment ASAP. Trust me on this, don’t let a confused older person linger in the hospital any longer than they need to. It’s a disaster.

This is a cruel disgrace. ICE agents in Minneapolis chase, tackle, and handcuff a child in the freezing cold and snow while he yells “I’m legal! I’m legal!” How does this make us safer? How does this target “the worst of the worst?” Horrifying and shameful.

At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.  The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.    About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.  This situation is evolving, and more information is forthcoming.
