While borders and taxpayer funded militaries exist, their purpose must be limited to defending the borders of the United States from attack. The United States has no business being the policeman of the world."

If you look at most of the replies to this, you'll see why the debt spending will never end. Most of you genuinely believe that the budget could be balanced by cutting fraud, foreign aid, and a few other rounding errors. I'm fine with cutting all the things you mention. But I also wish you understood just how bad things are. Soon enough, you could take every penny that every American earned, and it wouldn't be enough to pay the interest on the debt. Everything needs to be cut. Everything. Most things need to be eliminated entirely. But you don't want that. In fact, you're too busy talking about things you want more to be spent on. And the progressives, too, want more money spent. Government will oblige you both, as it always does. You get the government you demanded. Sadly, so do the rest of us.
