#liberty indeed LPRC Platform Section 6. Omissions: "Our silence about any other particular government law, regulation, ordinance, directive, edict, control, regulatory agency, activity, or machination, including the existence of any particular governmental system, must not be construed to imply approval. In every matter, we adhere to the consistent application of the principle of the non-initiation of physical force or fraud."
Javier Milei Quotes (Fan)@MileiSays

Javier Milei: “I am a true libertarian. I see the state as an oppressive machine which destroys rights, which destroys liberty.” “I see taxes as theft. I see the state as an organized criminal gang.”

“Every just view that can be taken of this subject, admonishes the public, of the necessity of a rigid adherence to the simple, the received and the fundamental doctrine of the constitution, that the power to declare war including the power of judging of the causes of war is fully and exclusively vested in the legislature: that the executive has no right, in any case to decide the question, whether there is or is not cause for declaring war: that the right of convening and informing Congress, whenever such a question seems to call for a decision, is all the right which the constitution has deemed requisite or proper: and that for such more than for any other contingency, this right was specially given to the executive. “In no part of the constitution is more wisdom to be found than in the clause which confides the question of war or peace to the legislature, and not to the executive department. Beside the objection to such a mixture of heterogeneous powers: the trust and the temptation would be too great for any one man: not such as nature may offer as the prodigy of many centuries, but such as may be expected in the ordinary successions of magistracy. War is in fact the true nurse of executive aggrandizement. In war a physical force is to be created, and it is the executive will which is to direct it. In war the public treasures are to be unlocked, and it is the executive hand which is to dispense them. In war the honors and emoluments of office are to be multiplied; and it is the executive patronage under which they are to be enjoyed. It is in war, finally, that laurels are to be gathered, and it is the executive brow they are to encircle. The strongest passions, and most dangerous weaknesses of the human breast; ambition, avarice, vanity, the honorable or venial love of fame, are all in conspiracy against the desire and duty of peace. “Hence it has grown into an axiom that the executive is the department of power most distinguished by its propensity to war: hence it is the practice of all states, in proportion as they are free, to disarm this propensity of its influence.” —James Madison

#liberty indeed LPRC Platform Section 5.13 Weapons of Mass Destruction: "We believe that no government agency must be allowed to acquire, purchase, or otherwise accept for use any vehicles, equipment, or weapons unless such hardware is readily available in an open commercial market. If any tool in its intended use is deemed too powerful or destructive for any individual to own, e.g. weapons that would destroy towns or neighborhoods in their applications, then those tools are also too powerful for any government to own."
The New Yorker@NewYorker

“Like the war on Iraq, launched by the George W. Bush Administration in 2003, today’s war on Iran is based on a lie about weapons of mass destruction,” Robin Wright writes. newyorker.com/news/the-lede/…

“The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naïve and usually idiotic. He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched.”

#liberty indeed LPRC Platform Section 5.12 Presidential War Powers: "We call for the reform of the Presidential War Powers Act to end the President's power to initiate military action, and for the abrogation of all Presidential declarations of "states of emergency". There must be no further secret commitments and unilateral acts of military intervention by the Executive Branch."
PBS News@NewsHour

Congress has not declared an official state of war since World War II. Yet since 1945, U.S. service members have fought and died in full-scale conflicts in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, among other places. to.pbs.org/4l8yGxG

#liberty indeed LPRC Platform Section 5.11 Military Policy: "We call for a completely voluntary military in both funding and participation where members of the military can quit any time they choose. While borders and taxpayer funded militaries exist, their purpose must be limited to defending the borders of the United States from attack. The United States has no business being the policeman of the world."
Mary J. Ruwart Ph.D.@MaryRuwart

Of course, the American government's biggest violation of the NAP is our foreign policy, which bribes and bombs other countries to bend them to our will. A policy of peace, free trade, and non-intervention benefits us by reducing the costs of military expanses.

If you look at most of the replies to this, you'll see why the debt spending will never end. Most of you genuinely believe that the budget could be balanced by cutting fraud, foreign aid, and a few other rounding errors. I'm fine with cutting all the things you mention. But I also wish you understood just how bad things are. Soon enough, you could take every penny that every American earned, and it wouldn't be enough to pay the interest on the debt. Everything needs to be cut. Everything. Most things need to be eliminated entirely. But you don't want that. In fact, you're too busy talking about things you want more to be spent on. And the progressives, too, want more money spent. Government will oblige you both, as it always does. You get the government you demanded. Sadly, so do the rest of us.
Spike Cohen@RealSpikeCohen

This sounds great until you realize it would require voters being OK with massive cuts to social security, medicare, medicaid, and the military. And I mean massive. I'm ok with it, and more. Are you?
