@Caroline_Bartma Get really good help at home and a support network and at least a few independent people in lab who will thrive and help guide others. I also lived close to the lab and went in a few hours 2-3 afternoons a week, including lab meeting, either between feedings or one pumped bottle

Congrats Blake et al.!  Programmable break-and-repair RNA editing is nicely reminiscent of the original guide RNA-mediated RNA editing in trypanosomes by U insertion and deletion, where "guide" RNAs all began: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1688737/

the secret to a strong endowment? Get thousands of people to pray for it. Surprised Princeton asked all students & parents to recite this at opening exercises. Made some uncomfortable. Could add grants and prizes. Pre-tenure I thought that sacrificial courage meant work all night
