Also I just think the way chapter 1 ends is a better ending hook, but also most of the material in chapter 2 works better as an episode 2 "what did I get myself into" thing rather than just a Part B of an episode.

Chapter 1 is almost 80 pages, chapter 2 is like 40, so honestly they should have just adapted chapter 1 and let stuff marinate a bit. Sure I did say they didn't cut anything, but it's different formats at the end of the day so things just don't feel the same.

Expected to be a bit more charmed by Marriagetoxin, but kinda wasn't feeling it at all. The pacing felt really off, went to skim the manga and it seems they didn't cut anything and it's just the first 2 chapters. I'll give it a few more episodes, it may find its groove.

It's like I was thrown a few episodes into a show rather than a 1st episode. The chemistry between the two leads comes off more over the top and forced rather than something natural feeling.

Obviously the top row are classics and are beloved, but now let's look at the FULL chart lol. Most of them don't even have 10k completed, hell after Tsubasa it's more like 8k-7k and way lower.

People keep glazing this chart when beyond the first row and Aria(and maybe Digimon and the CLAMP tax ones) none of these have strong staying power or still get discussed much beyond "ah it's the thing i watched when i was a teenager, nostalgia is epic!!"
