I received my 50th infusion of #Rituxan, the monoclonal antibody therapy that depletes b-cells. 13 years on RTX so far. It is working quite well to keep my RA and MS in check. #takethatms #multiplesclerosis #rheumatoidarthritis #infusionsrock

@RachelHorne19 I want to have all the information! MRI reports need to be thorough and I want my neuro to share the significance of findings. Don't hold back. BTW, I always see my images and the MRI report well before the next time I talk to my neuro at a follow-up.

I'm researching a piece on advances in MRI & MS. MRIs will be much faster & much better at measuring brain atrophy & predicting a person's disease course. But as a pwMS how much do u want to know? That ur v likely to face cognitive decline? That ur MS will progress v quickly?

@GavinGiovannoni After 12 yrs on RTX, I have no idea how long B-cell repopulation would take. Covid vaccine (non)response is <0.4 U/ml. My drs (neuro/rheum) still rec'd not to skip RTX in Aug (not knowing boosters would become available). Feeling stuck in a vicious cycle.

@Brandon_Beaber @ActiveMSer This news came one week too late. I would have absolutely canceled my RTX infusion this past Monday (and the 23rd) to get the booster. I’m in the JH study: <0.4 u/mL antibodies to the spike protein. The emotional feeling of being left behind lingers this weekend.

Population of immunocompromised people who could be a candidate for a COVID-19 booster shot per the CDC. This would presumably apply to many people with MS taking DMTs such as b-cell depleters (ocrevus, rituximab, kesimpta), Lemtrada, S1P receptor modulators (gilenya, mayzent)
