What an awesome MP - how he helped us in our plight with a Housing Developer was incredible - naming and shaming them on two occasions in Parliament- something we never expected to happen! Besides that a true Gent! Privilege to have spent time with him! REST IN LOVE ❤️

Deeply saddened by the news of Tony’s death. A dear friend & colleague who was always very kind, steeped in his values, unafraid to take on unpopular causes, and a very well-loved predecessor in Manchester Central. We would joke that he left impossibly large boots to fill, and even after 11 years as the MP, I’m still trying. He made time for everyone and was embedded in every community he served so dedicatedly and proudly. My thoughts are with his family and his close friends who he treasured.

I went to @marksandspencer in Stockport today to buy their delicious vegan burger! I was shocked to see the ‘new recipe’ on the package included an approximate 50% reduction in size on their previous offer. #Disappointedatthechange

My journey along the spiritual path started about 20+ years ago. Since I’ve been up and down many roads, only to return to the path I started along 20 years ago. With a deeper understanding of Buddhism and non-attachment I’m today feeling blessed.

We weren’t born with ‘expectations’ and someone (can’t remember who) said ‘disappointment takes a whole lot of planning.’ Expectations are future focused and you either end up disappointed or not valuing someone’s actions because you ‘expect’ of them! Agreement vs Expectations

Some things I’ve learned this year that may be helpful during the holiday period: Expectation can lead to disappointment Acceptance doesn’t mean approval Staying silent can be beneficial Grasping can lead to suffering I hope you experience the next few weeks with ease ♥️
