I have no idea who this woman in. She was in a line at Whole Foods and I was struck by her appearance. I felt compelled to compliment her and she seemed happy that she was noticed. (Seriously, how could anyone not?) I asked for permission to take her picture and she shared with me that she turns 83 tomorrow. Thank you for making this gray, rainy, cold day, a lot brighter my unknown friend. 💙 Original story:Kevin Kendrick

Speaking during the National Budget Debate in Parliament today, Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Hon. Fayval Williams highlighted that Jamaica’s Net International Reserves (NIR) remain strong, standing at approximately US$6.8 billion as of March 5, 2026. She explained that the country currently holds enough reserves to cover about 36 weeks of goods and services imports, well above the global benchmark of 12 weeks, indicating a strong financial buffer. Minister Williams also noted that when the current administration took office in 2016, reserves were about US$2 billion, and since then the Government has worked to significantly strengthen Jamaica’s financial position. Maintaining strong reserves helps Jamaica respond to external shocks such as rising oil prices, natural disasters, and global economic uncertainty. The Government remains prepared to guide the country through these challenges.

Hello @MalahooForteMP I hope you can help us. We have not had any water at all from @NWCjam for over a week. The affected areas are Whiltshire, Belmont, Spring Garden and Clarridge Hall. We have contacted NWC and they say they have no timeline to fix it. Spring Garden Pump House.

Bob Marley’s Exodus was named Time Magazine’s “Album of the Century” in 1999. The recognition shocked many who expected a rock or pop record (like The Beatles or Bob Dylan) to take the honor, but Time chose Marley’s 1977 album instead #BobMarley
