@TruthLawOrder Not sure if there will be a negative net impact on the budget tbh since volumes will most likely increase if we decrease the duty (we saw increase in import volumes after increasing the threshold)

The fact that people are willing to incur 2 tax charges from the online seller, 2 GCT charges from the bank, 2 shipping and handlings fees from the couriers to avoid paying the duty should be indicative to the fact that the duty is excessive no?

It's giving "we don't have a plan and we're manking it up as we go along." There is nothing in the law that says I am required to spend over US$100 for every online transaction. It's like being upset when people don't commit a traffic offense because a ticket can't be issued.

@KingstonLoyal @Mello_Mel27 There is nothing in Law that prohibits someone from splitting an order to benefit from not incurring taxes. She could have completed her presentation without adding that one paragraph.

@Mello_Mel27 I don’t think she communicated properly, but I know for me personally, especially since free covid, prices gone up and most things I buy are above 50 us. If the rate was still at 50, I’d be paying taxes on those.
