This is the thing many outsiders seem to totally overlook. No one is obligated to support a war and Americans have every right to protest their government’s actions. But what preceded this war was the most heinous massacre in Iran in decades.

Qatar isn't happy with Israel (and the US?). Doha is surely trying to minimize blowback from Iran: both countries share the same gasfield, which the Iranians call "South Pars" and the Qataris call "North Field"

Aside from the whole debate about antisemitism and Iran, it is not great that the American public continues to misunderstand the basic reality about American hegemony and its role in the world. GWOT benefited Israel in many ways, but it was not all about them

@MostlyMonkey That's not necessarily revelent. Unless you have a pipeline, trucking nat gas to be refined in inefficient in many situations across the world. It's not as dense -> don't make money

Natural gas is so cheap in the US that we have to pass laws stopping drillers from flaring it at the wellhead.

There is a reason why the US actually has negative nat gas prices. 1. We produce a shit ton of gas (technical term) 2. Our shale wells are getting gassier as tier one acreage has been burned through 3. Yes, we are building out LNG export facilities but its not enough to absorb the excess we are producing. Be happy we have the lowest electricity prices in the WORLD in areas the are powered with nat gas.
