@JeremyWGR Magic number should be 3 for the Sabres. If Ottawa wins all but one game, and the Sabres lose out... Buffalo has 100 with 38 RW and Ottawa would have 100 with 39 RW.

Here are the rules about interviews with coaches of teams in the SB: “Teams cannot schedule initial interviews with candidates employed by AFC or NFC Championship participants until the end of the employer team’s season, and the employer teams cannot voluntarily grant permission to their coaches to participate in interviews.” I don’t see anything here about virtual. Brandon Beane said they’d have to wait if a team is in the SB, but I’m open to interpretations here.
