Never understood the rush of mainstream application using F/V (in lieu of P) and certainly not a generic *zones* fan. What does this tagged group have to add? VBT application solutions?

Laser+IMU system is valid and accurate, which can be used easily in training and competition to obtain step‐by step kinematics and give direct feedback of this information during training and competition. mdpi-res.com/d_attachment/s… - yes, same algorithms are used with DynaSpeed+IMU

@AthWestchester Use Laser Speed so you can get actual step parameters. Also accuracy and precision is much higher than using split interval timing.

Timed 30m bounds. Top metrics = 5m run in & resulted in continuous acceleration. Bottom metrics = 15m run in and resulted in continuous deceleration. BUT, ALL SPLITS were faster from a 15m run in. Next step will be merged analysis with the @MuscleLabPro contact grid.

For those coaches who use video analysis, integrating MuscleLab is easy and practical. The use of 2-3 synchronized cameras or just one placed properly can make a big difference in saving time and getting the right information for training and coaching.

We talk at nauseam about sprinting w/ full recovery. But how long is full recovery? 6 seconds per yard is a great guideline to use. 10 yard sprint = 1 min rest 20 yard sprint = 2 min rest 40 yard sprint = 4 min rest Without full recovery, we can’t hit or get near max output

All drills regardless of origin can be properly quantified and evaluated using the right tools. Drills such as the low step-over might benefit from adjusting the strike point slightly further out and allowing for higher vertical motion depending on goals.
