Chicago Teachers Union Members Vote to Join National Day of “No School, No Work, No Shopping” on May 1st

🚨NEW POLL The Chicago Teachers Union has hit record-low popularity among Chicago voters. The math is brutal: >Favorable: 27.5% >Unfavorable: 53.6% Worse, half of Chicago voters say they are less likely to vote for a candidate for public office if they accept CTU campaign contributions. The backlash is very real.

Chicago: Join the call for peace and solidarity. Today, community members, educators, and organizers will gather to demand Hands Off Iran & Lebanon and oppose further escalation and war in the region.

Meet Ismael Jimenez, Philly’s Director of Social Studies curriculum, and the acting architect of an ideological capture that turns classrooms into activism pipelines. While Jimenez manages the framework for Pennsylvania’s largest district, he maintains a board seat at the W.E.B. Du Bois Movement School for Abolition and Reconstruction: an explicitly Marxist project designed to involve youth in revolutionary action. This isn’t just theory; the school publicly complained about legislation targeting tax-exempt status for organizations supporting terrorism. The hidden dot is the direct mirroring of radical abolitionist curriculum in Philly classrooms: Jimenez designed lessons that ask students if independence from “colonizers” can ever be peaceful, effectively validating violence as a necessary tool. I have to ask Mayor Cherelle Parker @PhillyMayor why an individual fueling a manufactured movement, while omitting these radical ties from his professional profile, is still permitted to lead the education of Philadelphia’s children? Great reporting @NAVIvalues #CurriculumEngineering #PhillySchools #AbolitionSchool #marxist #IsmaelJimenez
