@NigelBn @NickLovesSpain For practicing Catholics choosing the historical route, they do whole Camino in one go. It’s a sort of sacrifice to get closer to God. My friend wants to carry her own things, stay in public albergues, and do the qhole route. I want to stay in hotels and send my bag ahead.

What advice would you give someone walking the Camino de Santiago? 🇪🇸✨

@bettinablancoRD @NickLovesSpain You don't need to do all of any route all of once! The French way starting in Leon is mostly easy going and lovely. The Portuguese route is great too.

@NickLovesSpain I want to walk the Camino in 2026. If you are in good physical shape, I would go for one of the longer routes. I have joint issues so I’m thinking of doing the Portuguese Camino, shorter and not as hard. My friend wants to do the historical one, but it takes more than a month.
