@becimay My Dad (1916-1988) died when I was 22. He was an army physician & later a research chemist. My Mum (1929-2013) was amazingly strong. (Her brother was one of Heisenberg’s last doctoral students). I had a stuffed elephant whom we ALL called “Erma.” Please treasure your bear.

I sleep among the cushions my mum made for me and the bear she got when she was three

This was an absolute work of art. I didn’t take pics because was having a phone-lite day but amazing @Kate_Hext had even gotten hold of a grand piano to echo the one in Firbank’s rooms at Cambridge
