elon could solve world hunger literally this second all he has to do is full stack dump all his shares, cause a stock market recession, wipe out trillions, delete tens of thousands of jobs, and then he'll be able to fund the federal government for about 18 minutes

My daughter was nearly in tears the other day. Because she can’t find a casual job. “Dad I’ll do anything. I’ll wash dishes at 6am” - & she means it. Did it last year. But there are no jobs now as, it seems, they’re all going to foreigners This makes me feel… revolutionary

I just do not understand this. My 20 year old daughter is desperate for a summer job. And this kind of low skill casual work is what OUR kids used to do. But our government insists on giving these jobs to foreigners who then bring in their benefit-claiming families. WTAF

Microsoft doesn't need extraordinary assumptions. 18.5% EPS growth and a 25x multiple gets you close to a $1,000 stock by 2031. $MSFT

I work in Construction. The days are long. The graft is hard. The stress is real. I am trying to build something that eliminates the need for a full time strenuous and stressful job and gives me much more freedom. Follow along for the journey. First step. £5000 by the end of 2026.

@hewantswealth I lived in a Barrat new build until recently (for 5 years) No issues and low maintenance costs. I even managed to sell at a slight profit! (not accounting for inflation of course)

@hewantswealth Over the same period the S&P would have returned you more money and have the advantage of being more liquid - nevermind maintenance costs. "Investing" in property nowadays is even more dumb. Buy a house to live in, but don't expect to make any money!

At 25, I thought $100k invested would change my life. At 30, I crossed $1M. Now my target is $1.5M invested by age 35. I'm a Canadian dad with 2 young kids, a mortgage, and a full-time corporate job. I'm documenting the journey publicly. Let's see where it goes.

@VikingInvestor9 Per Grok: For a £220,000 lump-sum investment in the S&P 500 (total return, dividends reinvested) at the start of January 1995, it would have grown to approximately £4.8 million to £5.5 million+ by the end of 2025 (in GBP terms), depending on exact entry/exit dates and FX rates.

People often ask me: “How much of your ISA growth came from investment returns?” The answer Much less than most people think The first years were driven almost entirely by contributions Wealth building starts with savings Compounding arrives later

£26k isn't a life changing amount of money. Better to have those life experiences while you can. Instead focus on positioning yourself to maximise your income so you can spend £50 every weekend AND invest several hundred every month. You don't get those years back and you get more responsibilities with age!

People in their mid-20s realising that the £50 they’ve spent going out every weekend since 18 would’ve been worth £26,000 if they’d invested it instead.
