Days/ a week like this are exactly why I like having cash on the side. When markets dip, it’s not just pain… it’s opportunity. Instead of going all-in every time, I usually keep circa 30% back ready to deploy on red days. Not advice - just what I do. Dry powder gives you options when everyone else is panicking.

And if it wasn’t obvious enough… (some people clearly don’t understand this) When the S&P 500 goes down due to broader market uncertainties… Other stocks generally go down too, especially higher beta 😱 This is where opportunities arise. Best defense against making mistakes is education. Long-term investing comes with pullbacks, many 10%+ corrections, and a few 20%+ bear markets. Additionally, it means understanding that it’s difficult to trade these moves in a way that’s more profitable than just buying and holding. $SPX $ES_F $SPY $QQQ $NYA $AAPL $META $TSLA $SMH $MSFT $AVGO $AMZN $GOOGL $MAGS $NFLX h/t @SamRo

You can explain to a “normie” that regularly investing in ETFs is a smart move, over the long term, the market always trends upward, helping both to protect and grow their wealth. But it’s important to remember that in a crash situation after a prolonged downtrend, most normies will get emotional. When the stock market turns very bloody, the news gets intense, and sentiment feels the worst, many of these investors will end up selling their stocks and/or ETFs. Am I wrong? Those who are familiar with the markets, have lived through multiple cycles, and can speak from experience, will usually either buy more or hold tight during these phases, knowing that new ATHs will eventually come and that downturns are temporary. At the end of the day, though, it’s emotions that drive many people to make costly financial mistakes over their lives. Investing cyclically and for the long term is actually quite simple in theory, but in practice it’s a very emotional and difficult endeavor for many.

Stocks and commodities Where are we in Tritch’s “Periods to Make Money” model, and what comes next. 2026 peak phase A cyclical high characterized by elevated valuations and distribution into market strength (stocks/commodities made parabolic ATHs). 2032 lows, accumulation phase A cyclical bottom, offering attractive entry points and marking the early stage of a new bull market. 2032-2034 expansion phase Rising asset prices, improving sentiment, and broad market participation as the bull cycle matures. 2034 next peak phase Another cyclical high, historically associated with optimal conditions for reducing risk and taking profits. 2035 panic & reversal phase A delayed reaction following the peak, marked by volatility, fear-driven selling, and the emergence of a new bearish trend (from 1999 dot com bubble burst, from 2019 covid crash…).

Low earners are you claiming this? 🇬🇧 The Starting Rate for Savings. If your income is under £17,570, you could earn up to £5,000 of savings interest completely tax-free. Here's how it works: → Income under £12,570 - full £5,000 tax-free savings interest available → Income between £12,570 and £17,570 - allowance reduces £1 for every £1 over → Income above £17,570 - allowance gone completely Who this helps most: 🍀 Pensioners on small incomes 🍀 Part-time workers 🍀 Stay-at-home partners 🍀 Low earners with savings Add your £1,000 Personal Savings Allowance on top and some people can shelter significant savings interest completely tax-free. Check your eligibility at gov.uk - search Starting Rate for Savings. Not financial advice. Tax situations vary - always check your individual position. 🇬🇧 @MartinSLewis #UKInvesting #PersonalFinance #TaxYearEnd #MartinLewis #SavingsInterest #UKPersonalFinance #StartingRateForSavings #SavingsInterest #TaxFreeAllowance #PersonalAllowance #UKTaxSystem #TaxYearEnd #LowIncomeSupport

The way you trade options with an account size of $10k/$25k/$50k is VERY different than trading with $1M The types of trades you can make is very different The diversification you can have with different strike prices and expiration dates gives you the flexibility to trade

A lot of people have been trying to knife catch $SOFI lately, but I’m content letting it come to my level, right into that higher timeframe uptrend support near ~$15. If it gets there, great, that’s where the risk/reward is heavily skewed in my favor. If it doesn’t, that’s fine too, I’ll deploy that capital elsewhere. Swing trading really can be this simple when you have a clear game plan and the discipline to stick to it.

Market Quadrant 12/2026 A hard-money environment where structural breakouts are tough to find, and the stocks that are moving up are doing so without forming any conventional setups. ⦿ Bias remains firmly bearish, with only one-fourth of all stocks trading above their 200-day MA. ⦿ Trend stays down, as 52-week net new highs are consistently negative and about one-fifth of all stocks are above their 50-day MA. ⦿ Swing conditions are negative with MBI sustaining in the red, while 75% of stocks are below their 10-day MA. ⦿ Momentum is negative & worsening, with only the Power index having positive & improving momentum. Conservative swing portfolios should remain in cash, & wait for broader participation to start with constructive chart structures. Link to blogpost: finallynitin.substack.com/p/market-quadr…
