@SamRo Very real. I don't really get it but I witnessed other middle aged Korean men yesterday complaining of sleepless nights, tormented anguish, etc. No joke. I wanted to laugh my head off, but its too serious so had to hold back.

Many Korean children watched their fathers and uncles have that vintage Korean middle-aged man World Cup group-stage loss meltdown for the first time. It's the same meltdown their fathers had before them. It's a rite of passage that'll be passed down for many generations for many World Cups to come

Maybe the most frustrating loss to watch in Korean sports history. It's no wonder Korea has such high rates of smoking, drinking, personal debt, mental health problems, chronic illness, anger issues ... all fueling 20% one-day swings in the stock market ... while inspiring the most depressing dramas and the darkest movies about revenge.
