This exercise will both fix outstanding Lower Back issues and act as a preventative against future Lower Back issues I simply don’t understand why anyone on Planet Earth is not doing it IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!!!

A few years ago I threw my back out swinging a tool that was wrong for the job. Was horrific. Had neglected a lot of the rehab stuff. Got one of these and use it often. Also thank goodness for the internet. Old advice was RICE. In reality you need to move. (Not medical advices.)

@tomshardware I know of a company that uses H.264 decoding in its software, do the license fees apply to standalone software? He argues it doesn't. Anyone familiar with this kind of licensing?

@straceX Example #576475985 of why unsigned types are, in general, from the devil, and 99% of code should just use int Also an example of how the standard lib forces you to interact with them because of the pervasiveness of size_t. (Which is also from the devil.)

"Windows Update broke my PC" is a classic tech myth. 📉 Veteran MS engineer Raymond Chen says the update is often just the messenger. Users install sketchy drivers or registry tweaks that stay stable in RAM until a reboot forces a reload. Then, the house of cards falls. neowin.net/news/microsoft… ^P

@NeowinFeed And for some reason those sketchy drivers and registry tweaks started when Microsoft started letting ChatGPT write all their code 🤡

@NeowinFeed Raymond Chen is an old fool. He brags on his blog how Microsoft software is most compatible software ever and how great MS programmers are, yet you can't run Notepad from Windows 11 on previous Windows, or Windows 10 Notepad on Windows 7. Can't stand this guy. How about you quit?

Microsoft has released another Windows 11 update to fix installation issues caused by the previous update, which was itself released to fix problems in recent updates. That update was KB5079391, the March 2026 optional release, but Microsoft pulled it after some PCs ran into installation failures with error 0x80073712. Now, KB5086672 is rolling out as an out-of-band replacement. It fixes the installation issues caused by KB5079391 and also includes the improvements that were supposed to ship in the earlier optional update.

@Paradigmidi @RudyHuyn Of course. And nowadays, they do the same shit but in Electron in JS, and your apps require 1 MB of RAM, and theirs require 4 GB of RAM. That's how scalable this shit is.

@PELock @RudyHuyn I was able to do the same with VB and winforms. But what happened is, we heard that the rad paradigm leads to solutions that "aren't scalable" it's all bullshit. Now we just have web technology loving zoomers writing 10x more boilerplate to then have "apps" that run in JS vms

I’m building a new team to work on Windows apps! You don’t need prior experience with the platform, what matters most is strong product thinking and a deep focus on the customer.

If you’ve built great apps on any platform and care about crafting meaningful user experiences, I’d love to hear from you. Send me your portfolio via DM. If you know someone looking for their next opportunity, feel free to share this with them!

@MythicaSince202 What is obsolete - windows software. What's getting more and more popular - android software. If you want to develop software - go mobile only, I would also focus on Mac ecosystem filled with rich users, used to pay for the apps. If you can, develop cross apps for Android with ad

Hi! @PELock. I read a comment you posted last year where you mentioned that RE and MA aren't in as high demand anymore (I was interested in both), so maybe it's better to try something else. I’m interested in everything related to memory protection, code protection, etc. ⬇️

It's happening! Here's your first look at a movable taskbar in Windows 11, coming soon. You'll be able to move and resize the taskbar on Windows 11, just like you did on Windows 10! It's still in internal testing, and to be clear, this video is from a virtual machine, which is why it might feel slow. Also, Microsoft won't use the right-click menu we're seeing in the video; it's only being used to quickly debug the feature. What else do you want Microsoft to improve in Windows 11? 👇

@Ox4d5a @WindowsLatest They are useless, often promoting their own people (from their cast), and bringing Microsoft to its knees. I had plenty of customers and worked for Indians - the worst experience ever. If Indian engineers are so good why is there not a single good software company based in India?
