@sta4r_l1ght @thesylliest Hi! I only update SMAPI on PC (Linux/macOS/Windows) and Steam Deck. Those updates are then ported to Android by others, since it's very different from other platforms. I don't have any info on who will port it for 1.6.9 unfortunately. See stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Android for more info.

@JamesDSchw @StonedGrapples @ConcernedApe They mostly use the same C# code with platform-specific changes (e.g. specific optimizations and tap UX on mobile), and transpiled to C++ on some platforms. Most code is in common projects imported by per-platform solutions, with some conditional directives.

@Pathoschild @StonedGrapples @ConcernedApe Are console/mobile based on the same C# code or recreated in another language? If different, are mod assets parsed the same, assuming no custom C#? Sheer curiosity: if ports share code do you share via class libraries, TFM-specific projects, & build configs, or another strategy?

Stardew Valley 1.6.6 is now available for PC. It's mostly bug fixes and translation changes. Full patch notes can be found here: stardewvalley.net/stardew-valley… Console and mobile ports are still in progress, thank you again for your continued patience!

@HanQing1019346 The 'compatibility branch' is a Steam setting, so reinstalling the game won't change it. To disable it: 1. Open Steam. 2. Right-click the game and choose Properties. 3. On the Betas tab, set the "Beta Participation" dropdown back to "None".

@Pathoschild Thank you very much for your reply. Nexus and GitHubSomeone has the same problem.Some people show that they need to update to the latest version.Others, like me, can't find the location of the file.And was told that there was a problem with game compatibility.

@StonedGrapples @ConcernedApe Delaying patches wouldn't benefit console players, since (a) they'll get the 1.6.6 changes too when it arrives on console and (b) console ports are handled by a separate porting team so PC patches don't affect the timeline.

@Revolver6Ocelot @ConcernedApe Yes, the console ports usually jump straight to the latest version. That means console players will benefit from all the testing and iteration on PC.

@ghostfaeries @ConcernedApe I can't speak for ConcernedApe, but as a modder 1.6 does have technical changes to support non-binary gender, which makes non-binary mods much easier. The difficulty for official support is the vast amount of re-translation that'd be needed, especially in gendered languages.

@ConcernedApe it's really concerning that there has been no comment or statement about gender neutral pronouns for months now. there's literally a 7 month old petition with over 8k signatures. are you really just going to keep ignoring people who are asking?

@Lone_Strayy @ConcernedApe I can't speak for ConcernedApe, but it takes *much* longer to release an update on console due to the porting and certification process. Games can iterate quickly on PC, then consoles will jump straight to the latest version when they're ready so they have the latest fixes.

@ConcernedApe Hey @ConcernedApe I’m having problems with the festivals, the ones that have the option to leave, when I tried to leave it crashes my game, but the ones like Festival of Ice (that ends after the “mini game”) are working but appear this message after I leave.

Hey! @Pathoschild i I would like to report a bug that happened in my Content Patcher, on SMAPI mobile, i I installed the 2 versions of Content Patcher, 1.30 and 2.0.1 (on Nexus mods) but neither are working, Are you going to update SMAPI mobile now or only after 1.6 is release?

@FreeDragonEggs @ConcernedApe Yep, ConcernedApe mentioned it in the 1.5.5 release post: stardewvalley.net/stardew-valley…. It'll just be easier to change for mod authors, more robust for mod players, and need fewer mod frameworks. It won't have Steam Workshop. It's still in development, there's no release estimate yet.

@Shizachiko I can't realy change that becuase it's just the way the game works. You can't switch farm types after starting a game. Beach Farm is just another farm type like the forest farm, hill-top farm, and standard farm that you choose at character creation
