I could keep going all day about the problems with this map, but I need to stop tweeting and start lawyering, so here's my TL;DR: This map is a blatant partisan gerrymander, flying in the face of FL voters who made clear at the ballot box that they want fair, nonpartisan maps.
GOP congressional proposal for Ohio
#OTD in #history, 1812, #Massachusetts Gov. Elbridge Gerry signed into law a senate map that sought to advantage his party. The drawing of one district was so byzantine, it resembled a salamander. Critics combined Gerry & salamander to create the popular portmanteau: gerrymander.
