When I was in high school, a guy who hit 90 mph was basically a celebrity. People talked about him like he was going to the Hall of Fame. Cole Kuhn is a 16-year-old from St. Joseph's Prep and he just threw 101.8 mph.

@CoachLisle Because it’s easier to teach velocity than it is to teach actual pitching. Good for this kid though.

Maybe an unpopular take but…stop making teenagers wake up at 5am to go lift/workout before school. Unless they’re asleep by 9pm, I promise you that them getting 8 hours of sleep will be more beneficial for them than some 45 minute workout before school.

@CypressSports14 @HPBAac Teenagers don’t go to bed by 9:00. It has nothing to do with responsibility. It’s biology. They also need 9+ hours of sleep. So that gets us to 6:00a anyway.

@HPBAac That's on teenagers and their parents to be responsible. If they're voluntarily participating in these workouts they should have healthy habits that support it. If not, drop it. Those who actually do practice healthy habits shouldn't be punished.
