I feel like some people are looking at the original Black Flag through rose tinted glasses... It wasn't perfect by any means and there were tons of outdated design choices in it, both by AC and modern gameplay standards. So bringing that game up to today's standards, in every sense of the word, is a great thing for an already amazing game. Also writing the game off (or being 'extremely worried' about the overall story) over the new additional content is just hyperbolic IMHO... Of course, you can have feelings about this game, but this is the same game from 2013 remade in a better engine with more content. If you liked the original, there's a 90% chance you'll like this too... unless you're burned out on AC which is another story.

Ya’ll are missing the point again though, surely you have a brain cell you can use, most players logged on to drive the numbers up to show Sony that the numbers would be there for a third game, I don’t think anybody intended to stick around and grind an end of service game for weeks on end They’d be there and stick around for a third game lol I’m not sure what is hard about that to understand, Destiny 2 is almost 10 years old.

So fucking annoying that everyone reports this like its a big deal. Give it a year and a half when everyone’s finally out of stuff to do. That being said most of the Marathon players are actively playing Destiny to support the effort because we’re not foreign to the idea of supporting multiple games at the same time.
