@mpr_reviews when you upscale from 1080 to 1440 then it has higher input latency than native 1080, but lower than native 1440 What they mostly mix it up with is FRAME GEN, and even there its such a small input latency increase that just talking about it is nonsense...

The fight against misinformation online will never be won, but it is sad that this is coming from someone who has 61K+ followers and charges people money to optimize their systems. You can also very easily test this yourself by using the Nvidia App to measure PC Latency.

If you have a good PC, then you should NOT be using DLSS DLSS adds input delay even though it increases your FPS. The whole point of higher FPS is to lower input delay. Unless you have a low end graphics card, turn it OFF.

@opinali At least from what I could test on 3 titles, 4.1 totally is sharper than DLSS4.0 at performance mode. So if they speak about any other quality that's missing, then they really should show some evidence...

But DLSS4.5 was also heralded as a massive gain over 4.0 in P/UP presets. Obvious inference: FSR4.1 ≥ DLSS4.0. It looks like reviewers are going out of their way to NOT say that FSR at least caught up with DLSS4.0; HUB even says that it *didn't* but without showing any evidence.

@opinali Yes, especially since optiscaler enabled vulcan support already, a group of users not even affiliated with AMD... Not just that, they made FSR4 availabe for rdna2 and 3... And they work on a way to add RR into optiscaler...I bet they will deliver it over half a year before AMD

The more I think about it, the more I hate the design of Crimson Desert's Damiane For a recent example, at least with Resident Evil Requiem's Grace, you can kinda defend her design with narrative coherence Whereas there's no excuse, no reason Damiane shouldn't look like this

Only thing they did "wrong" was not following Steam's requirement to disclose the use of AI. Other than that, I don't care. Who cares about background paintings?

During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.

@RealMarcFoxx You can’t disclose something you don’t know is there - and proving intent either way is basically impossible. Also, disclosure is mainly to Steam, not a public label players see, so the “they broke the rules” ranting is simply nonsense since you don’t know what was submitted.
