@BSmithBenS Right... I am 66 years old and male, so my median life expectancy is 84.3. I was vaccinated in 2022 and every year since. A 37% drop in life expectancy suggests I will die at 53, in 2012...

A dream international debut for Matthew Forde in Bridgetown yesterday. Only two West Indies players have conceded less runs and taken more wickets on men's ODI debut. #WIvsENG

@PresidentSsc I suspect that you are misleading us Douglas. I recognise both that church and the herons nest --- you are some miles along from Grangemouth in Skinflats

I appear to be somewhere warmer than Clackmannanshire, although it's expected to rain later

@afneil @MailOnline 1. Republicans get good gains in mid-terms. 2 Trump says he is running.. 3. Nearer the Presidential election he bows out and endorses the other main Republican candidate who gets elected. 4. He then pardons Trump.

@PresidentSsc Well done Douglas. There are less and less people with fewer and fewer experience left in the Criminal bar now. Things definitely ain't like they used to be! Good luck,

Avoiding politics for professional reasons. I was 63 years 160 days old when I learned that Richie Blackmore's most famous riff might have been borrowed from a 1964 bossa nova tune...😮 youtu.be/k4mpX2zkD9Y

@BarristerSecret @GrouchyOldGamer There was a case in Scotland years ago in which similar circumstances arose- it might be of some interest. The reference is :- Lord Advocate's Reference (No. 1 of 2000) 2001 SCCR 296

It is causing confusion because your colleagues are knowingly spreading misinformation about this case to fuel your desired culture war. Here are the facts of the case if you’re struggling to understand them, Attorney General: thesecretbarrister.com/2022/01/06/do-…

Trial by jury is an important guardian of liberty & must not be undermined. However, the decision in the Colston statue case is causing confusion. 1/2

@afneil Strange mix of symptoms indeed....especially the "soar" throat"

I concluded from test results I had contracted what we used to call in days gone by the “common cold” or even “flu”. I’ve had lots of colds over the years — but never with this mix or longevity of symptoms. So thought it prudent to isolate. All good now.
Andrew Neil@afneil

In the run up to Christmas I came down with these symptoms - rasping, chesty cough, wheezing windpipe, runny nose, soar throat. But never felt lungs threatened. Three tests over 10 days all said it wasn’t omicron. Still not sure tests were right.
