I genuinely want to know how doctors feel when they refuse to treat a patient because they don’t have money for the hospital bill and the patient ends up dead. I mean, that shit can ruin anyone’s mental health especially the doctor.

Working in healthcare kills some things in you. I know doctors would be willing to help save patients if they didn’t need consumables or equipments but how do you order consumables worth 250k for a patient from the pharmacy and the patient tells you they can’t pay? Some relatives will even try to fight you when you insist on them paying before they go? Some medical staff have had to pay from their own pockets, had salary deductions, been queried or even suspended. What are they supposed to do?
