My sister agreed to carry a surrogate pregnancy but the couple did not come for their baby after birth. She tried to contact them by all possible means but couldn't reach them so she raised the child as her own alongside her 3 other children. So 11 years later,last week the couple,out of nowhere appears at her home demanding for their kid.Turns out 4 months into the my sister's surrogate pregnancy,the wife of that guy also got pregnant and she infact gave birth to twins and they decided to cut ties with my sister. 10 years later, that's early last year there was a fire outbreak at their home and unfortunately their twins were burnt to death. I attended a course mate’s wedding while in school and everything was going well until the groom’s busybody sister came to ask us (asoebi girls) to join to serve food. We said we wouldn’t because we could clearly see ushers. We came as guests not servers. The sister went on to complain to the bride and the bride told her the same thing, her asoebi girls are not here to serve food. That’s the way this groom’s sister started to carry face for us and put us in her mind o. She made sure we were skipped even though we had our own designated cooler with the caterer. An usher brought us food and this babe rushed over and started dragging tray with the usher, insisting we must not be served. The tray of food eventually poured on the girls sitting close to them and it led to a loud shouting match. It was so nasty, almost half of the asoebi left in anger. I had to stay back because I was only considering the bride’s feelings. The bride’s father eventually took me to seat with a couple of his special guests and I ate to my satisfaction there.

My husband invited his new coworkers over for dinner. When they arrived he introduced me by gesturing at me and saying "this is mrs Smith (didn't even say my name)...the housewife!" I looked at him for a second then I started laughing hysterically. I then told said "no honey I work full time and YES I still act like a housewife when I'm home because you simply can't bother to help". Yesterday, I texted our gateman to come and collect his Easter rice. I told him to come with his plate because I had run out of takeaway packs. He replied, “Don’t worry ma.” I was a bit surprised because this is something I always do during festive periods. The only difference this time was the plate. I didn’t think much of it… Until my neighbour called me later and said the gateman reported me. He said I disrespected him, how can I ask a married man to bring a plate like a beggar just to collect food? I’m honestly still in shock. It was never that deep for me… I was just trying to share what I had. But I guess sometimes, what feels like kindness to one person… can feel like disrespect to another. Did I actually do something wrong?
