CASTLES AND KINGDOMS The first time the castle's defended, the resources to reinforce come from just outside the castle. Every time it goes to war, the resources to rebuild must come from farther away. Eventually the castle must reach into other kingdoms to sustain itself.

It's a mistake to look at any crime as purely evil. Biblical terms may hinder investigations. It's easier for the mind to process greed at scale if there's a mystical element. But crime always boils down to greed, and greed can be weighed, measured, and analyzed for capture.

I'm wary of allowing beloved hobbies to become paid gigs. There's freedom in that footloose feeling.
