It is being reported that UEFA is actively considering banning Israel. We must act NOW to demand this happens. E-mail Britain's Football Associations to demand they push for genocidal Israel to be banned from UEFA and FIFA: palestinecampaign.eaction.org.uk/banIsrael

Just watched episode 1 of Dear England on @BBCOne and it’s incredibly eye opening. Thoroughly recommended. Especially if you’ve been through all the ups and downs of following England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 all your life. A perfect watch before the World Cup. But not for the current England players who have been forbidden from watching - presumably to avoid them overthinking their mentalities or reliving past on-pitch trauma, like penalty shootouts. Joseph Fiennes superb as Gareth Southgate.

@omid9 @BBCOne I watched the first 30 mins and gave up. The dialogue is so poor. The characters are very two dimensional. Almost every line is clunky exposition to tell us background. It's a football play for people who don't watch football.

@omid9 @BBCOne As long as you take it as it is - an imagining of what was said and done - it’s highly entertaining. Bit like that ‘Pistols’ thing, it’s not a documentary.

@allandray08 Egbaston, 78? Looks like the classic bowling attack of Willis, old, Hendricks, botham and Willey. Not sure of the batsmen. Brearley the skipper. Obviously.

If your summer holiday is delayed because of Brexit EES restrictions, remember Farage got paid £5 million to make you stand in a queue.

From making fans pay to watch football matches previously broadcast for free to screwing railway passengers for every last penny and selling off dozens of reservoirs, 40 years of neoliberalism has been all about enriching the billionaire class at the expense of everybody else

Before Brexit, there were about 300K net migrants a year, mostly from the EU. After Brexit, immigration shot up to 900K, and EU migration was negative. It’s amazing how stupid Brexit was from every possible perspective. Populism is a low IQ movement.

@David__Osland Depends which generation of pensioner you're talking about. Our mum is 89, and is a "typical" pensioner. Relies on the state pension. My older brother is 70, retired at 60 , with a private pension. They have very different outcomes.

Britain has the least generous state pension in the G7 - measured as a percentage of average earnings - and the highest rate of pensioner poverty in western Europe. And Jeremy Hunt thinks pensioners have got it too good?

Many MPs tell us that the current state pension age is 'unsustainable'. Which is odd, really, given that they can claim parliamentary pensions as soon as they turn 55.

@TiceRichard Have you forgotten that Maggie Thatcher sold our oil and gas off, so anything produced is sold by international companies on the global market and does fuck all to reduce prices? Whereas Norway didn't, which is why they now have a sovereign wealth fund of £1.6 trillion.

Ultimately, Bonnie Blue and Farage are the same. Both see male anger and desire as a product. Their core model is the commodification of base impulses. Both know that outrage and attention are the most profitable demand driven markets. The difference is, Bonnie is more honest.
