The deadly risks of corridor care and hospital overcrowding in England have been formally raised by coroners on dozens of occasions in recent years, ITV News can reveal.
One woman whose husband spent 36 hours in what she described as the “carnage” of an A&E corridor, while suffering fatal swelling of the brain, told us the experience has left her feeling “desperate and helpless”.

Julie Chard, whose late husband Tom spent over 30 hours in a corridor, believes that contributed to his death.
