Last week, @PeterObi was at an “opposition summit” in Ibadan. We said it clearly then these unprincipled drifters and their structure of criminality have nothing to offer besides empty words. But a majority of his brainwashed supporters couldn’t handle the truth. Now @Peterobi the captain of the gravy train has moved yet again, and those who were misled will once more follow the most directionless political opportunist to ever exist in this clime. #AACOurParty

I don't even know who to tag now concerning this! I thought every discipline is meant to have knowledge of the law to some extent.
Osaro PhD, Csu.@OfficiaEdoOsasB

Dear Nigerian Army, We all respect and appreciate the important job you do protecting our country. But in a democracy like Nigeria, the law is very clear: the military does not have the right to pick up ordinary civilians for things like social media posts or complaints about soldiers welfare. This is not an opinion, it is written in our Constitution and follows rules that every democratic country in the world follows. Even for the Army, Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution (as amended) is the highest law in the land. It says the Army’s job is to: Fight external enemies, Protect our borders, and Help the police only when the President officially asks you to restore peace. The everyday job of arresting or questioning normal citizens belongs to the Nigeria Police Force, not the Army (Constitution Sections 214 and 217) Every Nigerian Has the Right to Freedom. Section 35 of the Constitution protects every single person, soldiers and civilians alike from being locked up without good reason. If anyone is arrested: They must be told in writing why they are being held (within 24 hours). They must be taken to a normal court very quickly, usually within 48hrs. If the arrest is wrong, the person can get money compensation and a public apology. The Army is not allowed to arrest civilians on its own and keep them in military custody. Court rulings have already told the Army this clearly: you can only arrest people who are actually in the military. Civilians must be handed over to the police immediately. In a Real Democracy, Soldiers Don’t Police Civilians: This is not just Nigeria’s rule, it is the standard in every democratic country on earth: The military is for war and big emergencies. Police and courts handle normal citizens and free speech issues. This separation stops abuse of power and protects ordinary people. Even if someone posts something you don’t like on social media, that is freedom of expression (protected by Section 39 of the Constitution). It only becomes a crime if it clearly calls for violence and even then, only a civilian court can decide, not the Army. International Rules Agree: Nigeria has signed important human rights agreements that we must obey: The African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights says no one should be arrested without proper legal reason. The same idea is in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. These rules say the military cannot just “pick up” civilians. Doing so can lead to lawsuits, loss of public trust, and even damage to the Army’s good name.

@SadiqMaunde From past events, it should be clear by now that the presidency in Nigeria is a turn by turn scenario, and anybody is allowed to keep running for it until it's their turn. It's that simple!

The @officialEFCC needs to be probed.
Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, CGoF@ChidiOdinkalu

Dear @OlaOlukoyede_, aka Chairman of @officialEFCC, I notice you have been interested lately in students in #Nigerian universities. You're reported to have claimed that over 60% of them are criminals. While we still await the evidence to back up that claim from you, I thought I should let you know about this dude. His name is @OfficialGYBKogi. Remember him? May be I shd refresh your memory just a little. No, dude is not not a student. He ruled Kogi State for 8 years. Many people believe he is still ruling the state. That is also your state, no? So you shd know that he also plundered the state to the tune of multiples of hundreds of billions of dollars possibly. His plunder is present continuous tense. Now he wants to convert it into future interminable tense. When you run the math, all students in Nigeria's universities put together do not control an economy like this kind of guy. But you will avert your gaze from him & prey upon students to deflect from your complicit aversion, and even supine failure. So, Comrade Chairman, let me ask you again: do you know this guy? Under your watch, he will run for @NGRSenate. And you will mount another podium to declaim against Nigerian students, right? Do not say no one told you.
