HB 1589 will effectively ban natural gas for 800,000 Puget Sound consumers, costing the average homeowner $50,000 to electrify their homes, or they get no power. Despite a huge public outcry from across the political spectrum against this intrusion, AG Bob Ferguson has still said nothing. This seems like a new level of desperation – Emily Randall got the Conservation Voters endorsement recently, so now Franz says big polluters are coming after her? The Conservation Voters are certainly propaganda polluters of the airwaves, so perhaps that’s what she means?

But rooftop solar lets all your neighbors know that you're all environmental and stuff! Solar installers will tell you that many people ask for the panels to be installed street-facing, even if it's less efficient, just so that everyone can see them.

Wasting $156 million is not environmentally friendly (even if it is good politics). The National Renewable Energy Lab notes that W. WA is the worst place for solar in the U.S. @EIAgov says rooftop solar is the least efficient source of energy. This is just waste. #waleg

The @BobFergusonAG way: create a new government bureaucracy to solve problems created by your own policies. Maybe Bob could make @washdems donors inelegible for ferry contracts, since they've failed so miserably over the last decade, and we might get some boats this decade.

Oh My God, the excitement of being able to ride a massively over-budget train run all the way from Redmond to Bellevue - and only 5 years after promised! Liberals are thrilled. Of course, it doesn't cross Lake Washington yet. Sound Transit is still working on that, maybe.
