For the superman tweet the issue is essentialism where superman being white and saving people that are not white is equated to the worst possible depiction of the white saviour trope and I think that thinking really doesn't work on any level other than a basic aesthetic one

I don't necessarily understand this point because maybe it's just interesting to see something again but done in a different way of course there are some remakes that do more to justify their existence e.g ff7r but idk re2r is really good and I feel that is decent justification
