@dimandlostcarcs you either die the first goomba or live long enough to see yourself become the third goomba

Sometimes I feel like commenting on people's opinions about Project Moon and KJH's management because I only see both extremes but I'm scared that I'll end up being the third Goomba in the Goomba fallacy image.

@CloakersonD2 I think it’s dumb that you can skip to the final boss after beating it once but for a first time experience it was great and I was surprised by the modifiers being actually a fun system imo. I did it first with 5 people & battalions which made it more interesting for me as well

@CloakersonD2 Really? I do honestly appreciate that it lacks the progression of some long mounting experience of something that hits that so well like vow but I think desert perpetual encounters are just so great one on one that it works fine for me. Especially epoptes

@John_Burn1 Don’t worry about it. And I’m not really even saying it needs to be abolished, it’s true that pjm still does need money to operate. Just saying stay aware of change and how the way things are, as in, no need to accept every decision from pjm, but clearly you get that already.

@Slumpy__ At the end of the day, you’re right. The ID lock system doesn’t insist upon itself; it’s created with the sole purpose of making money. If it was abolished, I would be happy, as it’s the main problem with the Seasonal system. I’m just so used to it that I accept it as fact.

“Artificial difficulty” doesn’t exist. It’s a myth

people who complain about “numbers difficulty” kinda crazy sometimes. There’s nothing wrong with difficulty increases through stats on their own really. Could just be asking you to play more optimally to pass. Obviously there’s limits but same with “difficulty mechanics” man

>play our game at the hardest difficulty! >"is it numbers difficulty or mechanics difficulty?" >what? >pull out detailed chart explaining the difference between the two >its a difficult game sir >its numbers difficulty again

@John_Burn1 By saying you don’t see it changing and just accepting it as fact then arguing from the perspective of it’s self-evidence, you *are* calling it good and supporting it whether you like it or not. Pjm’s hands aren’t ‘tied’ to do anything

@John_Burn1 Instead of doing that you propose that these things sort of just fell into place and thus it is seasonal. It didn’t. The seasonal split exists in its current form to make money for the company. This id being the same ego suit we see for 5 seconds is at best a pretext.

@John_Burn1 the seasonal schism is something that has to be adhered to reasonably for no real reason. You’re just accepting the seasonal system as self evident and removing agency or intention from pjm by saying as such. Making this a seasonal is a conscious choice from them

@John_Burn1 Good and bad are maybe poor wording from me and not relevant but regardless you’re coming from the position that the seasonal system justifies its own existence and you’re skipping past any questioning of it. Your initial statement that pjm’s hands are “tied” implies that

@John_Burn1 in the sense that it has to be reasonably “not-seasonal”. All you’re arguing is that the system is good because it’s being (very loosely) arguably consistent with itself. It doesn’t acknowledge the system of seasonals itself at all.

@John_Burn1 You’re still arguing from the point of view that the seasonal system is inherently good and deviation from it is a cost. There’s no downside for you at least, to this being standard. You’ve conditioned yourself to defend it. You don’t NEED to justify it being standard ->

@John_Burn1 You’re defending the decision to make X seasonal with a framework that accepts the seasonal systems qualifications entirely. You’re thinking too inside the box. The system itself isn’t free from scrutiny just because it exists. It isn’t gospel or law

@John_Burn1 I understand the concept of a seasonal id. It isn’t some inherent rule of thermodynamics or the programming that anything has to be seasonal. Pjm have made decisions about how the availability of the ids and content. It is a conscious decision. It didn’t appear out of thin air
