How to topple Iran’s regime: - Arm the protesters. Air drop pallets of AK47s onto cities, cause chaos for regime. - At the same time, seize Kharg Island. Cut off revenue for regime. - At the same time, begin Kurdish invasion with US forces embedded. - Triple air assets in region, provide air cover the entire time. - Do this with 3 carriers, 3 MEUs, and 1 Army division in region, ready to go further if needed. Short of full scale invasion, which can be done with the above assets in case escalation is needed, you can only topple the regime if protestors take to the streets, and they’ll only do it once they feel safe to do so + are armed. The above creates the conditions for that.

Norge står inför en rejäl satsning på försvaret med bland annat mer korträckviddig luftvärn. Det är ett segment som svenska tillverkare är starka i med Saabs RBS 70NG och Bae Systems Tridon Mk2.
Norge har tidigare använt RBS 70 och Bofors L/70. Möjlighet att de återanskaffas?

@Nassos83 Agree. I think FDI should win based on experience, product and delivery time. Saab/Babcock is new, never done a frigate before (Saab) but most possibly (unfortunately) the likely winner of the tender. Despite the French strategic reach.

@SwedishTech_ My take: Sweden and Denmark were always closer to UK and Babcock's design is based on the Iver Huidfelt, plus SAAB's industrial participation plays a crucial role. If Sweden is indeed in urgency to obtain 4 frigates before 2031-2032 with all necessary changes, FDI is the winner.

Η γαλλική Naval Group βρίσκεται σε κρίσιμη φάση. Η FDI (Frégate de Défense et d’Intervention), που ήδη πωλήθηκε σε Γαλλία και Ελλάδα, διεκδικεί τώρα συμβόλαια σε Σουηδία και Δανία.
Το στοίχημα είναι μεγάλο: η εταιρεία έχει γνωρίσει τρεις διαδοχικές αποτυχίες στη Σκανδιναβία τα τελευταία χρόνια.
2017: Ήττα από τη γερμανική TKMS στη Νορβηγία (υποβρύχια)
Αύγουστος 2025: Ήττα από τη βρετανική BAE Systems στις νορβηγικές φρεγάτες, συμβόλαιο αξίας ~11,5 δισ. ευρώ
Νοέμβριος 2025: Ήττα από τη σουηδική Saab στο πολωνικό πρόγραμμα Orka (υποβρύχια)
Τώρα, ο κύριος ανταγωνιστής στους νέους διαγωνισμούς είναι η βρετανική Babcock με την Arrowhead/Type 31, μια φρεγάτα που η ίδια η βρετανική κυβέρνηση υποστηρίζει ενεργά στις εξαγωγές.
Για τη Naval Group, ένα από τα δύο συμβόλαια, Σουηδία ή Δανία, είναι πλέον ζήτημα αξιοπιστίας, όχι μόνο εμπορικής επιτυχίας.
Η ευρωπαϊκή αμυντική βιομηχανία χρειάζεται πολλαπλούς ισχυρούς πυλώνες. Η γεωγραφική συγκέντρωση νικών σε έναν μόνο κατασκευαστή, έστω και ευρωπαίο, δεν υπηρετεί πάντα το συλλογικό συμφέρον.
Θα δούμε αν η FDI, ήδη αποδεδειγμένη επιλογή για το Ελληνικό Πολεμικό Ναυτικό, μπορεί να σπάσει αυτή τη σκανδιναβική αδυναμία της Naval.
