@AV8Steps @WifiMoneyPlant Last car I bought they flat out refused to take cash or check. Said they would only finance. They asked me to wait theee months then pay it off. I paid it off with my first payment because screw them. Extra hassle for me to got to the DMV and get the lien holder off the title.

Biggest "the kids are fucked" moment I've had recently was buying a car Walked into the dealership, told them what I wanted and said I'd pay up-front. Expected them to be thrilled Instead they were horrified. Spent the next 20 minutes trying to get me to finance it at some absurd rate Got me curious so after I left I read about car sale profit models. Apparently most US dealerships make more financing now than from the cars themselves I was such a boomer I assumed they'd want CASH In reality they want your ETERNAL SLAVERY at 19% APR

@PatGarofalo @annbauerwriter Even worse was the foreign student who got a full 4 year scholarship to Princeton aside from a 16k loan to cover the taxes then fled to China to use his degree to get hired by an NGO and avoid paying his loan. $4k/year for Princeton was too much… Yet he gets to keep the degree.

Enclosed is a gift NY Times article to provide full context. I do have some sympathy for those who got roped into the collegiate Ponzi scheme. But leaving the country to avoid $60 a month in loan payments demonstrates a need for remedial math lessons. nytimes.com/2026/04/04/bus…

@AllieJade1 These lights on most new cars need to be banned. Very unsafe when driving country roads and round a corner then can’t see for 5 minutes. I almost went into a ditch just the other day because of it.

I'm going to go Karen here. Because I've been in this lady's position. I've had these jacksters come up behind you and their lights are so bright it hurts your eyeballs! Do you like the man's solution, which of course he's never tell you to try, right? Do you have other solutions?

@gloyper6000 Hate that the customer wanted the deep etch and sandblasting but it still turned out absolutely gorgeous. The handle and sheath are very well done. Bravo sir. Followed.

@Syncreticist Thanks! Here it is. Unfortunately the customer wanted a deep etch and a sandblast finish to give it an ancient aesthetic. Not doing that again because it distorts the pattern I worked so hard to get way too much.

@Mappy6984 My mom and dad were married 16 years. Divorced my dad for her boss when I was 13. Married him 4 years later. Convinced me dad was evil my whole childhood. She got full custody, the house, child support and 50% of his ENTIRE retirement. He couldn’t afford to heat his apartment…

This situation is blowing up, and people are split… ✈️ A woman trying to board a Delta flight in Chicago says things took a turn when she was told she had too many items. She had a backpack and a small bag, nothing crazy. She even complied and consolidated everything. But then it escalated. She tried to explain one of the items she was carrying a breast pump, and said it was a medical device. That’s when she claims the employee pushed back hard… “You don’t look like you need a medical device. Prove it.” So she does. She takes it out. Shows it. And according to her, the response? “That’s not a medical device.” Now, the situation shifts from a simple boarding issue to something much bigger, questions about privacy, respect, and who gets to decide what qualifies as a “medical need.” Some people are backing her, saying no one should be forced to “prove” something like that in public. Others are questioning whether a breast pump actually falls under the same category as medical devices in airline policies. But either way… the interaction itself has people talking. Because once it becomes about how someone “looks” and whether they “deserve” something… it hits differently. So be honest, was this discrimination, or just a misunderstanding of policy? And should passengers ever have to prove something that personal just to board a flight? x.com/i/status/20394…

This started like a normal dating story… and turned into something nobody expected! She made a New Year’s resolution: say yes to more dates. No overthinking. No backing out. Just show up and see what happens. So she agrees to a first date with “Matt from Hinge.” At first? Nothing crazy. Just a good date. But then… it keeps going. Second date; better than the first. Third date; now they’re painting together at her place. And suddenly, what started as “just give it a chance” is turning into something real… fast. That’s the part that caught people off guard. Because let’s be honest; most dating stories don’t go like this. Most fade out, get awkward, or never make it past date one. But this? This feels different. It makes you wonder… Is this what happens when you actually give people a real chance instead of overthinking everything? Or is this just one of those rare situations that actually works out? Be honest; do you think saying “yes” more often could actually change your dating life… or would it just lead to more bad dates? And how soon is TOO soon for things to start getting serious?

@newstart_2024 I’ve worked in jobs with only men and those were the absolute best jobs I’ve ever had. Working with women is like working in a mine field. Good men leave those fields because they don’t want their lives ruined.

Once institutions reach 50% women, they rarely stop there. Helen Andrews points out that many fields keep feminizing — 52%, 55%, 56%… and in psychology, it’s now 75% female graduate students. It’s not just women out-competing men and hitting natural balance. As environments become more feminized, they often start feeling unwelcoming to men: different conversation styles, more gossip and factions, less tolerance for certain kinds of debate. Men quietly leave, especially those drawn to the harder, more analytical sides of the field, which accelerates the shift. The cycle becomes self-reinforcing. Andrews suggests the only way to reverse it may be deliberately carving out spaces where men can work and debate in a more masculine way — without apology. It’s an uncomfortable but honest observation about how institutions quietly change character over time. Do you see this pattern playing out in fields you’re familiar with? Is there a healthy way to push back without turning everything into a gender war?

@inari_oji The first step in destroying a country is to make its children revile it past. This is currently being pushed through the educational system of all Western nations. Japan is the final boss to the globalists. Good luck Japan. I’m rooting for you.

Enoch Burke
Enoch Burke@EnochBurke·
BREAKING: Enoch Burke’s mother and sister arrested and jailed Martina and Ammi Burke were arrested by Gardaí today at Castlerea Prison after visiting jailed schoolteacher Enoch Burke, their son and brother. Judge Brian Cregan sentenced them to two weeks in prison after they spoke out against his lies and unlawful actions in the case of Enoch Burke. Martina and Ammi Burke had been teaching in Castlebar this morning before travelling to Castlerea for their scheduled visit at 2.15pm. As they left the prison after concluding the visit, Gardaí were waiting outside to arrest them. Lies have been told from the bench since September 2022 when Enoch Burke was first taken from his teaching post at Wilson’s Hospital School and thrown into a jail cell. He refused to call a student by a new name and the “they” pronoun. He was subsequently suspended and has now spent over 600 days in prison. Ireland’s church leaders have maintained a treacherous silence on this issue. Archbishops Eamon Martin and John McDowell speak frequently about battlefields far away - Gaza, Ukraine, the Middle East - but are silent on the battlefields in the schools of Ireland, on their own doorstep. Children in the classroom are being educated in every form of sexual perversion. Martina and Ammi Burke have now been sent to Mountjoy Women’s Prison because they refused to be silent in the face of gross injustice from the bench. Parents, rise up and speak out for your sons and your daughters.

@rushicrypto Lent out $500 to a guy when I was 18. Thought I’d never see it again. Saw the guy on the street 8 years later and he told me to come back to his place that he had my money. I was skeptical but went ahead anyway. To my surprise he had it in an envelope with my name on it.

lent a friend $2500 in january. good friend, known him for years. he said he needed it for rent and would pay me back in two weeks. i sent it instantly. it’s almost april now. i stayed quiet because asking for your own money back somehow makes you feel like the bad guy. meanwhile he’s posting dinners, concerts, new sneakers, trips. just living life. and it’s not even about the $2500 anymore. it’s the silence. like it never happened. crazy how money doesn’t ruin friendships, pretending it never existed does.
