@LummisofLA @invis4yo Even more than that—those who still have some wealth after the country is wrecked will buy up the pieces for pennies on the dollar.

@invis4yo Because as he's destroying the country he personally is raking in millions? And none of the destruction will touch him, his family, or his billionaire donors?

Serious question: why would a United States president actively destroy his own country? We can all see it.

@NathanJRobinson @Frances_Coppola Simpler argument: Not a single American politician would concede that Native Americans have the right to seize properties which their people clearly occupied as recently as 500 years ago, let alone millennia ago. Yet they 100% endorse this line from Zionists based on fables

Mouin Rabbani succinctly explains why "ancient rights" cannot justify the seizure of land, and the State of Israel's claim to have valid title over Palestine because of ancient Israelites is totally worthless

@Westerly110 @meidasta @LucasDexter1 @garethicke @SayingItLouder You think a country whose wealth and freedom is constantly blockaded by capitalist navies, and whose leadership is constantly couped or even kidnapped by capitalists, is a fair example? Now we know you are dishonest.

No. Capitalism is cyclic and it constantly re-invents itself to meet the market where it’s at. It’s dynamic. Socialism/communism, by its very nature creates stagnation and inflation, a deadly combination. It disincentivizes growth and it fails to reward people who excel at anything but corruption. Please see Venezuela, for example.

"Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it." - John Lennon Seems appropriate.

@richardpbacon @SlashWilko But of course most Christians are not logical. They believe fairy tales about talking snakes and bushes. They keep worshipping in buildings run by priests who molest children. They profess to follow teachings about love, charity and forgiveness while living lives of retribution.

There is no rise in anti-Semitism. There is a rise in the number of people who are very angry at what Israel is doing. Your inability to separate the two is equally problematic.

Thomas Massie just declared: “This government is under siege.” And he exposed Susie Wiles and Pam Bondi for taking “millions of dollars from Bayer.” “All three branches of this government are under siege by lobbyists and lawyers from a German company named Bayer.” “They spent over $9 million lobbying … so that they don’t have to be liable for any damages their herbicide Roundup causes.” “The Constitution guarantees people a trial if they’ve been harmed.” “Why are we contemplating going against the Constitution?” “The Attorney General has opined favorably for this German company in front of the Supreme Court about getting rid of any liability that they should have for any damages.” “By the way, the President’s Chief of Staff and the President’s Attorney General worked for one of the biggest lobbying firms that’s received millions of dollars from Bayer.” “Maybe that’s why we’ve seen an executive order that says that the production of this chemical from this German company is a national defense priority.” “And we know why they’re doing that.” “It’s to keep them from having any liability.” “This is wrong.” “We shouldn’t succumb to the lobbyists, not in the executive branch, not in the judicial branch, and certainly not here in Congress.”

@GrumpyPants2U @DavesDeadDog @Indie5051 Oh please give that up. Just consider how many great black artists (e.g. Stevie Wonder) covered Beatles songs. Probably more than any other band.

@Iatros59 @DavesDeadDog @Indie5051 The Stones’ work is mostly disposable fun compared to the Beatles. There are only a few Stones songs I would miss if they were erased from music history; there are dozens and dozens of Beatles songs I could not live without.

@DavesDeadDog @Indie5051 I cannot name one Beatles' song that really, really touched my heart and gut and soul like many songs from other bands. Gimme Shelter (Stones) or Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd) are just two examples no Beatles' song comes even near!

@DavesDeadDog @Indie5051 Nah. I’m in my 6th decade & I revisit them regularly. Each time I am more in awe, and manage to notice new things... Also the speed of their production and evolution is unmatched. After a bit of a hiatus recently I listened to the whole White Album again and was moved to tears

@Indie5051 I actually don't hate The Beatles at #1 here. They've got some real bangers, probably part. nostalgia, but I've listened to them too many times now that I've almost become bored (good blog idea, why do Beatles songs not have a long shelf-life?) even though I respect their legacy.
