Partnerships like this are how innovation happens. We’re joining forces with @NorthwellHealth to bring trusted, evidence-based radiation oncology protocols directly into the Lumonus AI platform. prnewswire.com/news-releases/…

However even the “faster” disease sites have substantial median contouring times. Helpful to show to non-rad onc colleagues who wonder what we do all day/night

@CCortiMD @subatomicdoc It’s so much less work and higher political/financial yield to make a “supportive” comment or quote a press release vs a “critical” comment (risking a rebuttal intended to make you look foolish). Maybe we need a #ad tag or similar when commenting on studies with genuine COI

Ranking oncologists in social media. What could go wrong? At a major onc conference, just 28.3% of posts by featured voices discussed research—while 34.6% were selfies. Of the research posts, 65.3% supportive, only 9.3% critical. #SoMe may push engagement over scientific rigor.

Viewpoint: The rise of social media and #AI in oncology has transformed scientific communication but also fuels bias, misinterpretation, and financial conflicts of interest. ja.ma/3UrqGLH @oncoblogger

@choo_ek @JessicaSmithMD @EMSwami 🤔Not sure one can conclude this conference “caused hundreds of cases of COVID” with a non-peer-reviewed “back-of-envelope... informal” calc from 11 survey responses. Published studies show no reported increase in infection in med conference attendees vs comparable non-attendees

Physicians are a nearly universally vaccinated group. So why did this single emergency medicine conference cause hundreds of COVID cases? Why is that concerning? How can we do better moving forward? Written with @JessicaSmithMD and @EMSwami

Opinion: If medical professionals don't gather safely at meetings and annual conferences, how can other professionals, not to mention the general public, be expected to do that? buff.ly/3xs5Obh

There are so many Omicron #'s floating around, it’s overwhelming. In today’s 🧵,I’ll try to simplify things with a couple of rules-of-thumb that I’ve found useful. I’ll be interested in hearing if this helps or confuses more – it might hinge on whether you’re a chess fan.(1/25)

@brettcoxmd @MonaArbabMD @HinaSaeedMD @Rad_Nation @TalcottMd @BhishamCheraMD @HoldDownTheFord @subatomicdoc @AmishiBajajMD @ChaurasiaMD @IUradonc TBH, one of the reasons I wanted to publish the virtual versus in-person @IUradonc prospective peer review experience was to have published citable data ready when the inevitable “it would be better if we went back to doing this in-person” arguments began cropping up. #radonc #jc

@Rad_Nation @TalcottMd @brettcoxmd @BhishamCheraMD @BreastDocUK @HinaSaeedMD @MonaArbabMD @KathrynBanfill @AndrewKellerMD @mpPaigeTaylor Per earlier discussion, better detection within the first half hour means important to keep attention of audience. For junior residents, that means refraining from waxing poetic with clinical history unless there are pertinent positives or negatives meriting mention #radonc #JC
