@TechOperator And you don’t need a 200 amp service. People think the street lights will dim when you plug in.

@TechOperator My concern is not what EV owners are driving, it is that EV owners are concerned about what I am driving.

Most EV drivers spent years driving gasoline cars before switching.

@TMLutas @TechOperator Even that isn't an issue. The grid handles the daytime peak synchronous draw just fine. Literally everyone charging an EV overnight is not more load than that. Every household in the country could have an EV and we'd exactly zero grid upgrades to handle it.

@r_u_thinking Yep - depends on the size of the container you need to fill. For many, this gets the job done!

@TechOperator it's the "as long as the tap runs when i turn it on, there's enough water" mindset being applied to electricity

@TechOperator I personally will always drive an ICE vehicle regardless of the price of fuel and I have never tried to convince the rest of you to do the same.🤔

@TechOperator But, of course, there is no "mass shift" and never has been. The change is coming, but it's gradual. No surprise.

@TechOperator if the prices were identical to fill up both, I would still go EV. Gas cars are clunky stupid ways to get from point A to point B.
