There was once a boiler that nobody could fix. Multiple people came to look at it. Nobody could solve the issue.
An old plumber came out, hit the boiler with his hammer in a precise spot and it immediately started working.
He gave them an invoice for $1000.
The owner asked him for an itemized invoice.

An HVAC technician told me “Knowledge is power, that’s why I charge this much to diagnose the problem and fix it. “You’re paying me a very high premium because of the knowledge I posses” his diagnostic price was $200. That’s besides the service call of $100 plus the actual cost to repair the AC, say $400 to install a capacitor. Then it got me thinking 🤔 Say you don’t have health insurance You make an appointment to go to a Dr an MD because you feel ill and and you pay $90 for a consultation and then they give you a diagnosis and they they prescribe you medicine that cost $30 on the pharmacy without prescription insurance. Dr is making $90 while the technician is making $200 for a diagnosis Something is wrong with the HVAC industry, lots of private capital is coming in and taking advantage of the situation, capitalism 100%. “You’re paying for the knowledge” I keep hearing this in the hvac industry. Please… HVAC owners make more than Drs. Very interesting observation

These excommunications don’t sit well with me.
Probably because they hit close to home. I’ve said similar things and maybe even more against the church. But I don’t have a big enough audience for anyone to care and I remain anonymous.
Many will wonder why you’d care to be exed of you don’t believe? But it’s not that simple.
If I was excommunicated, it would be extremely damaging to my family, my business, my kids’ friendships, their sports teams, etc. I’d have to move out of state and start new.
This really is an exile from a community and a scarlet letter more than just a belief system.
The church says excommunication is about repentance. No. It’s a scarlet letter.

Hating on Mormons has got to be the biggest waste of time ever. There are so many other better things to hate: spiders, horseradish, people who stop a full car length before the line so they can go first at 4-way stops (straight to outer darkness).

I'm having a hard time imagining someone could be this stupid.
A guy comes into our store and special orders a gun. We order it for him, it arrives, he comes in fills out all the paperwork, we have a copy of his driver's license and his signature, and he leaves with the gun. He goes home and files a credit card claim saying he never got the gun. Credit card company takes our money.
Nothing like committing a felony in which you leave your ID, signature, and it's all on video. Just called the cops to file the report...

The Force Awakens domestic gross was $937 million. No other movie has come close to that. There was a lot that movie did wrong, but it did some very fundamental things right to get that many people to see it. And then Rogue One was very entertaining and definitely made for Star Wars fans. I think people forget how great things were looking after Disney's first two movies and how much anticipation there was for The Last Jedi which most people assumed was going to be The Empire Strikes Back of the trilogy, improving on The Force Awakens's decent start. But The Last Jedi was like, "Everything you liked about The Force Awakens? That was dumb. We're doing something different."

I’m sorry, but something of this magnitude should be decided by the citizens of that city/county, not 3 people. Data centers should be voted on a ballot. They impact everyone’s lives. This isn’t a new apartment complex. It will severely impact people’s lives and the environment in which they live. Build it. Don’t build it. But, let the people decide.
